Everything you need to know before your session
Yes — a non-refundable retainer is required to book your session. This secures your spot on the calendar and ensures that time is dedicated entirely to you.
Most people feel that way before their first session — and leave feeling differently. Part of what we do is coach you through the process, helping you find your best angles and most natural expressions. No prior experience in front of a camera is needed. That’s what we’re here for.
Individual headshot sessions typically run 25 minutes for Express or 55 minutes for Signature sessions, though we never rush. If you’d like extra time for additional looks or outfit changes, just let us know before booking and we’ll adjust accordingly. Portrait sessions generally run 90 to 110 minutes.
Yes. We provide customized rates for organizations looking to achieve a cohesive, professional look across their team — whether that’s a handful of key executives or an entire staff.
Yes, provided you have a suitable space. Sessions at your location are available for groups of 10 or more at no additional charge. For smaller groups or individuals, an additional location fee applies. Get in touch to discuss your needs and get the process started.
Simple is best. Minimal or no jewelry keeps the focus on your face and expression. If you’d like to wear earrings, delicate studs are ideal — anything larger can pull attention away from the portrait.
Men can come with their hair done as they would any day. Makeup is generally not recommended for males. However, we do recommend getting a haircut.
Women should come with their hair and makeup done; more or less camera ready. Makeup should be light, natural and fresh looking. No heavy eye shadows or liners as these tend to not translate as well into headshots as one might think.
If you plan to use foundation, avoid powders which can give a caked look in the camera. A liquid foundation that leaves your skin dewy and refreshed looking is the way to go. Bring your makeup bag should you want to touch-up in between looks.

Not necessarily, but it’s worth considering. Professional studio lighting is unforgiving — it picks up every detail. A makeup artist who understands photography lighting can make a noticeable difference in how your skin looks on camera.
If you choose to do your own makeup, keep it minimal and focused on evening out your skin tone rather than making a statement.
Photo proofs are lightly edited, low-resolution images uploaded to a private gallery for your review. They give you a clear sense of the final images before retouching is completed, and are typically watermarked. They are not the finished product.
Once you’ve made your selections during the image review, the remaining images are deleted. Only the photos you’ve chosen for purchase and retouching are retained.
