How Sessions Work
Knowing what to expect makes all the difference
Whether it’s your first time in front of a professional camera or your tenth, every Banyan session follows the same intentional process — designed to put you at ease and get the best out of you.
01.
Posing
Most people don't know their best angle — and that's completely normal. We'll guide you through body positioning and stance so that every frame works in your favor. Small adjustments make a significant difference, and we'll walk you through each one.
02.
Expression
A great headshot lives or dies on expression. We'll work with you on how your eyes, mouth, and overall demeanor combine to convey exactly what you want — confident, approachable, authoritative, or all three.
03.
Selection
Every session is shot tethered to a large monitor, so you can see your images in real time as we shoot. Nothing gets missed, nothing gets guessed. At the end of the session, we'll review the best images together and you'll choose the ones you'd like retouched.
04.
Retouching
Every image you select is professionally retouched — color corrected, skin smoothed naturally, and polished to a finished standard. The goal is always the same: you at your best, not a version of you that doesn't look like you. Your finished images are delivered within a few business days.
